Singer, guitarist & songwriter Robin Fitzgerald formed Winter Starlings in 2019, with seasoned fellow musicians guitarist Jack Dunn, bassist Peter Marley & drummer Tony Bibby, to bring his original and heartfelt storytelling to life, leveraging the band’s combined acoustic & electric sound with their trademark vocal harmonies to create a pastoral Americana power pop feel.
The resulting blend brings to mind the greats such as Neil Young, the jangle pop of Teenage Fanclub, the melodic alt-country influence of Wilco & Jason Isbell, the rich lineage of British folk music & the genre cross pollination of Australia’s Paul Kelly.
